Pop-Kultur 2020
Like many other events in 2020 the Berlin-based music festival Pop-Kultur took place entirely in the digital realm. During lockdown, stuck in our homes, we turned to crafts to realize a visual identity for the virtual festival. Mixing paint, oil, milk and good old Helvetica our microscopic colour streams represented the festival’s diverse blend of protagonists and genres, of concerts, talks, panel discussions and digital works commissioned from artists worldwide.
The design was applied to printed materials such as posters, brochures and postcards and then became an essential part of the festival itself broadcasted online.
